This serves to confirm that any civilian not employed by a State or municipal security force or private security company who uses a SWAT Defensive/Tactical Pepperfog or Pepperstream product to defend him- or herself against a criminal attacker or attackers, will be provided with a new replacement canister of that product at no charge, provided that:

• Full details of the incident are provided, in writing, to a SWAT Deftac representative

• Details of the incident have been reported to the SA Police Service and an official case number has been issued; and

• The applicant has acted within the bounds of the law in defending him- or herself against criminal attack.
